This activity meets the new TSBEP requirement for professional development in cultural diversity!


 

FWAPA is delighted to welcome Drs. Sarah Spain and Jamylah Jackson to Fort Worth to present their newest work on cultural diversity. In this seminar, we will explore the manner in which cultural biases can and do impact the provision of psychological services. Experiential training approaches and exercises will be used to illustrate concepts and promote open dialogue and self reflection.

  • Participants will be able to identify common cultural biases of mental health professionals
  • Participants will be able to identify how cultural biases impact the provision of psychological services     
  • Participants will be able to identify techniques that can help mental health professionals become more aware of their own professional biases          

Lunch is provided from 12pm to 1pm
